Little did we know when we became Austin FC members and formed the Fighting Leslies Drinking Club that our friends Mark Harris and Dave Dart would open a bar next to the stadium. They had plans to incorporate a serious food aspect and tapped our brother Lips to oversee that operation. Turnstile is more than a coffee shop and bar. It is our Home Game Club House. You didn't think a drinking club like ours wouldn't have a few bars to hammer for sponsorships did you? Pinned as one of the "25 bars that define Austin" by the Austin Chronicle and called out for having one the "Tastiest Grilled Cheeses in Austin" from @do512 - The Yellow Jacket Social club is an East Austin joint with deep relationship roots in FLDC. We don't just love the drinks, the prices, the attitude, the charcuterie plate or the patio for cool outdoor hangs- we absolutely love the people. Ownership group, staff and patrons all make up friends and family from growing up here. Thems good peeps. We are particularly fond of Gayle Braecklein- a member of both FLDC and the Yellow Jacket ownership group, but who is counting?
